I bought this for a roadtrip so that my husband and I could each charge our devices during the trip. It served the purpose well and charged our phones faster than if we just plug into the car USB port.
I was in electronic retail management for a while so I know electronics. It's been a little over a month since I bought this charger. Used it around August 12 ,2016 now September 3rd.I realized that it no longer works. I thought It was a total waste of money, but the company stood behind the product and replaced it. Mine was defective.
Feels like good quality, hopefully it will last much longer than my last one.
While I prefer the style of the 'bullet' adapters that don't protrude out of the socket, we really needed something with more than just 2 ports.
7.2Amps takes care of all of or current devices and will hopefully future-proof us for a little while.
Works great, the only flaw I have with it is the "stem" could be a little longer.. it works fine in my truck, however both of the power ports in my car are deeply set (one under a flip open door and the other inside the console) and it makes it VERY hard to remove it from the socket when needed. But that is the only drawback Ive seen -- works great for my Galaxy s5 and my work IPhone both at the same time.. charges very quickly.
what can i say; it works perfectly, but it only puts out 7.2 amps if you have three 2.4 amp devices plugged in. That's its maximum rating per usb device, which is more than some. I haven't actually tested the real output yet. My phone indicates that the current is less than the original charger current, so when I feel less lazy, I will get around to testing it. I only like a mystery if it's a good book or show.
This little charger is powerful and convenient, but after few hours of operation it turns off by itself. Blackouts last enough time to allow for a full discharge my Samsung Note 3 while driving with maps with the screen on. It does turn back on by itself after a while. Re-connecting it to the 12v outlet does not help in the recovery cycle.
Works to charge multiple devices, I was able to charge a Nook HD that seems to be very finnicky about the chargers it uses. I did not try to charge multiple tablets at once so far, but was able to charge a nook and phone fine.
Excellent charger for my car. Charges both mine and my Wife's Samsung S6 phones at the same time and gives us an extra port to charge my Wife's Nook as well. This charger gives both of our phones and the Nook a full 2.4A to charge them quickly.
very fast charge. noticeably faster. all 3 being used. Samsung tablet watching movies and note 3 using maps and streaming music thru car stereo and an earpiece charging. all charging fast! other chargers would still drop battery level on at least one device and the other would hover at about the same rate. this charger beats most ive had and it fits snug in the adapter while usb slots are easily inserted!! other chargers needed too much force to insert cords!
Will not charge an iPod Classic.
Charged iPhone and iPad without difficulty. I tested my iPod Classic with other chargers of the same type, no problem found. The iPod Classic normally requires an output limited to 1 Amp. All the outputs on this charger are 2 Amp+. If you have an iPod Classic look for something else.
