The HDMI doesn't work with my MacBook. I thought for a while that there was a problem with my display. The computer (Macbook) recognizes the display (as per screen preferences indications) but there is no image on the connected screen. After a few weeks, I tried on other TVs and monitors and realized it was just the adapter... too late to send back :(
fail. and very expensive.
Does not work with my Yoga 900 as advertised. To be honest the Yoga 900 / Intel 520 has issues with a vast number of USB-C to HDMI adapters, but falsely this one claims to be compatible.
This HDMI does not work. I paid for faster shipping for nothing.
Absolutely amazing product. Hasn't broken yet so I will keep the 5 stars.
This definitely works well for my son starting first year college. It really helps for him to be able to hook up his MAC to an external monitor and still have the ability to charge the laptop.
I can't really say anything positive or negative about this item. It works, from what I can tell. Not really useful to me, though.
I received this item in exchange for my honest, objective review.
This adapter works exactly as described and is solid in construction. I bought it with some concern but the product has far surpassed my original expectations. I like it so much that I have bought a second one for travel (which I do fairly frequently) so I do not have to take my home office one apart. I highly recommend this adapter if you need a standard USB, have an HDMI enabled display and want to charge your USB-c tablet of laptop (I have a MacBook.
The HDMI port does not work with my 2016 MacBook. My monitor couldn't detect the HDMI from my Macbook.
Beware this knockoff. Bought this to use with my new macbook which for reasons known only to apple has only this stupid usb c port.
Anyhow, it would not work with my superdrive and it would not play videos on my tv.
Went to the apple store and paid an exorbitant price for their cable which does actually work.
HDMI signal works, USB works, and charges the laptop while in use. Simple, non-obtrusive, and so far seems sturdy.
